Guidelines
The registration form must include the FIDE ID, last name, first name, international rating, FIDE title and in the case of non Sri Lankans, the passport details of every player and every accompanying person.
All players must pay their entry fee and accommodation with registration.
Players will not be paired until all payments have been made.

Entry Fees
(A) Foreign Players
GMs, IMs, WGMs, WIMs and players with ratings above 2400 will not be charged entry fees.
All other foreign players will be charged USD 50 (LKR 15,000).
(B) Sri Lankan players, including all titled players
Entry fee of Rs 20,000 will be charged to all Sri Lankan players.
Early Bird Discount- Only Rs. 12,000.00 will be charged from those who register on or before 7th of July 2024
* Unrated players will not be allowed to take part
** Limited to 100 local players – the top 90 active players based on the following criteria and available to play, and 10 wild card entries.
Criteria
- The 40 top rated players
- Top 15 women players as per ratings
- First 5 in the Under 20 category of the latest Junior Nationals (Boys and Girls)
- First 3 in Under 14, 16, 18 of latest National Youth Championship (Boys and Girls)
- Others
Others – exceptional performance in FIDE Rated Opens and international events can apply – the organizers, in consultation with the CFSL, shall decide whether they can be accommodated.
Each player should have a rating of at least 1700 (boys) and 1600 (girls) for age group qualifiers as at the rating of July 1, 2024.
No request for waiver of entry fee will be entertained.
FIDE rating list of 01st of July 2024 will be considered for all purposes related to the tournament.
